The Next Generation's Impact on Inkululeko
A Legacy in Motion: Inkululeko’s Past, Present, and Future
Inkululeko, was founded fourteen years ago, created with a vision to empower underprivileged youth in South Africa. What started as an initiative to give learners the tools to succeed has grown from just a passionate project to a beautiful family environment. This organization thrives on the belief that every young person, regardless of upbringings, can change the future.
At the heart of Inkululeko are influential leaders like Vuyokazi Twani, the Academic Lead, and Nomawethu Matiwana, the Operations Director. Their leadership skills and traits have carried along to their children as in the featured image, seated with an eye for success is Inathi Twani, Vuyokazi's daughter, and standing besides her is Bathembu Matiwana, Nomawethu's son and a tutor at Inkululeko.
This intergenerational bond is very significant to Inkululeko, because this is where mentorship becomes a living legacy. Vuyokazi and Nomawethu have not only mentored others but also have involved their children, which has directly strengthened the community with fresh minds, energy, creativity, and purpose. Through that leadership, they've helped build an ecosystem where knowledge and values are passed down, ensuring the organization's lasting impact.
Inkululeko is more than just a regular nonprofit; it's blossomed into a living legacy of collective effort and shared dreams, and has become a movement where each generation contributes to creating a brighter future, lighting the way for young minds to come.
